You will receive a beautiful HGEL gift card announcing your special gift. Once you have completed your purchase, go to the CONTACT page and give us your address, email, name and address of the recipient and gift message. Please specify if you would like us to mail the gift card directly to you or the recipient. We will send you an email confirming that your gift card was mailed.
Hands-on private/family lessons • ($115 +/lesson)
($115 for private/family lesson + $15 materials fee/person when applicable)
There’s nothing like starting a garden to bring a family or a community together! Contact us for group lesson rates.
Each lesson is one hour and is held in the gift certificate holder’s own home.

Site Evaluation and Consultation • ($175)
No two projects are the same, no two clients are the same, no two sites are the same. Our detailed site evaluation and consultation includes:
• Client interview to assess client’s skill and knowledge base, nutritional need & goals for garden.
• Assessment of all viable sites on the property for garden including measurements and photos and soil exam.
• Discussion of design ideas.
Single Growing Season – over 4 months • ($550)
(excludes initial consultation ($175), cost of materials and design time ($85/hr))
“How to” garden journal complete with references on all subjects covered in the following lessons:
5 hours of gardening instruction including:
• 1 (2hr) lesson on planting and correct watering levels. You plant along side us.
• 1 lesson on soil management.
• 2 monthly “Check ups” lessons to cover any challenges garden is facing such as pest/disease identification and control, fertilizing, harvesting and storing, etc.
Year-long Growing Together Package • (Warm and Cool season $1,000)
(excludes initial consultation ($175), cost of materials and design time ($85/hr))
“How to” garden journal complete with references on all subjects covered in the following lessons:
10 hours of gardening instruction including:
• 2 (2hr) lessons on planting and correct watering levels for both fall/winter and spring/garden gardens.. You plant along side us.
• 1 lesson on soil management.
• 5 monthly “Check ups” lessons to cover any challenges garden is facing such as pest/disease identification and control, fertilizing, harvesting and storing, etc.
Garden Planting Party & Workshop • (up to 10 guests – $750)
This is a spectacular way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or…just for fun! The certificate holder and 10 guests will participate in a “planting party” in their garden including a lecture on “The Secrets of Success in the Garden” plus the priceless ‘hands on’ experience of planting the host’s own vegetable garden! Too far away? No worries, we can work out a package that brings us to you! We love kids parties too! (fees for materials and irrigation services are extra)
